TRUTH OR DARE

3) Truth is self-explanatory; dares should involve tagging out to another character's top level somehow ("Insult someone you find terrifying", "Tell someone you think is hot one thing you find sexy about them", "Strike up a conversation using the most awkward non-sequitur you can come up with", etc.)

[ It's easier to draw blood with, and he doesn't feel like one of them getting pummelled with fists to the point of bleeding is conductive to their relationship. ]

[ And he's already stepping back and flipping one out --]

[Yeah, that's why she ruled out her hammer, smashing his nose didn't seem very friendly.

She widens her stance and draws Jet’s obsidian knife. She's going to have to watch herself if he's motivated]

[ Aww she's concerned about his beautiful face-- ]

[ He's definitely motivated, but apparently, right now, he's motivated to play rather than try to seriously injure her. So there's plenty of feints and lunges and quick flicks of the blade as they fight, but it really feels more like a conversation than a proper attack. He's feeling her out. ]

[This is probably the most he's ever seen her smile - finally, a normal person interaction!

Randvi’s an experienced fighter, and had been training more than usual recently after an attack on their settlement by Rued’s clan, but she's clearly used to weapons with a bit of a longer reach and definitely isn't as fast as him]

Coin/dice maybe?

[ And he will be very pleased about it! She deserves positive emotions in her life. :) Even especially if they're caused by violence! ]

[ Squalo's main weapon happens to be a sword as well, so he's not quite as nimble with the knives as, say, Belphegor would be. It's most likely a pretty even fight. Still, he can normally hold his own in bar fights and the like without shame. And he is fast regardless of weapon. ]

[ If he sees a chance to dive in and nick her arm or her cheek, he'll do it, but he also will have no complaints if Randvi succeeds with that first. ]

Sure, you want to roll it?

[Randvi knows that if she wants to end this quickly, she's going to have to leave herself open to a faster opponent, so before lunging she tries to throw him off balance:] Oh, this is fun! Maybe I’ll kiss you either way.

[ It's a good attempt, honestly, because he does seem to do a double-take for a moment -- or maybe that's what he wants her to think, it's hard to say. But he does anticipate her lunge, and twists himself out of the way just in time to avoid her blade. Maybe it catches some of his hair, in dramatic anime fashion. ]

[ And he manages to give her a slight prick with his, just enough to draw blood (you may choose the preferred location). ]

[Honestly the best way to get anything from Randvi is to emphasize her autonomy so good job there.

She rises up on her toes and places a chaste kiss at the corner of his mouth. Stepping back, she smiles and runs a thumb along the shallow but stinging cut on her cheek.]

That was careless of me. In a real fight I may have lost an eye.

[ Oops! Accidentally a success? ]

[ He looks surprised for a moment, then beams a huge grin that for once looks more like a normal smile and less than a threatening bare of teeth, reaching up to touch his cheek near the place where Randvi pecked him. He got a kiss from Viking Girl!! His day is made, now he can die at sea in peace, etc. Too bad he won't remember it (unless we make it game canon by squeezing in some spars at the airfield...) ]

I mean, can't blame ya gettin' distracted by this, [ he says, jokingly gesturing at himself, before giving her an appreciative look. ] Still gave me a run for my money, though; I respect that.

[Randvi laughs, still a little breathless from the fight. Not bad for her first ever dare.]

Thank you. You're much quicker on your feet than I was expecting.

Thanks. It's kinda my thing -- back home, I mean.

[ He's not exactly built for raw strength, even if he's still got plenty. He grins more and shoves his hands in his pockets in a relaxed gesture. ]

Gotta say, this is the best dare I've done today.

It's the only dare I've done in my life, but even so it's a high bar to clear.
