I try not to! Rather just have a beer and not think about it. [ A pause; some of the levity leaves his voice. He doesn't sound scared so much as thoughtful, like he's considering the full weight of what he's acknowledging. ] Pero, si.* And you know what? Doesn't change anything. I've made my life what I wanted it to be, and I made it that way with my eyes open. I'm not afraid to go when I go, Detective. I'm just realistic about what's waiting for me.
